Freeing the Calapooia in Oregon (Video)

This week we have clip about the removal of dams along the Calapooia River in Oregon. The Calapooia is a key tributary to the Willamette River and is one of the few (as the video explains) channels without a hydroelectric structure. Yet it still had 3 small dams that hindered migratory fish species so the Calapooia Watershed Council made a push to get these structures removed. In 2008, they accomplished their mission:
