Morwell (Australia) River Floods Threaten Power Station (Footage)

Map picture

A flood crisis has once again hit Australia, this time in southern Victoria. On the Morwell River, the flooding overwhelmed a 40 foot wide levee section, inundating a coal mine that is a key source to Yallourn power station, one of the state’s biggest power stations, which threatens the supply of electricity to a lot of folks in Victoria. In the two videos below you can see footage of the erosion of the levee and the mine becoming a lake.
