Over the course of the past month, damaging floods have occurred in Scotland and Spain (as well as in Nigeria!) and this week we ran into a some footage that demonstrates some of the flood impacts. In northeast Scotland, 3 inches of rain fell in a short amount of time turning at least one street into a river and leaving a few motorists needing rescue from their cars.
The second clip comes from Vera Playa, in southeast Spain. The video shows what was once a small stream now a raging torrent causing some good sized road damage.
The road damage was actually the least of the flood impact as 5 people were killed in the flooding in Vera Playa from the torrential flood waters.
